CARI WASSON, Choral Music Accompanist

    

     Cari grew up in a farm and ranch in NW KS, and graduated from Wallace Co High School in Sharon Springs.  She made her way to Dodge City on a band scholarship from Dodge City Community College, playing trumpet and accompanying the jazz band on piano.  She met and married a fellow DCCC band scholarship recipient from Dodge City.  Upon his graduation from Fort Hays State University, they returned to Dodge City to find employment and help with the family farming operation.  Cari had earned an Associate of Applied Science in business from DCCC and both her and Brad have worked in the ag industry for over 20 years.  In 2008 they adopted their oldest daughter, Adrienne, who is currently an 8th grader at Comanche Middle School.  In 2011 they were honored to adopt their youngest daughter, Amilee, who is in 5th grade at Ross Elementary.  Cari has played piano for many years, and is excited to be a part of DCHS fine arts.
